3ReCl5 + 16NaOH → NaReO4 + 2ReO2 + 15NaCl + 8H2O


Rhenium(V) chloride react with sodium hydroxide to produce sodium perrhenate, rhenium(IV) oxide, hydrogen chloride and water. Sodium hydroxide - concentrated solution. The reaction takes place in a boiling solution.
