4Rh + 24HCl + 3O2 → 4H3[RhCl6] + 6H2O


Rhodium react with hydrogen chloride and oxygen to produce hydrogen hexachloridorhodate(III) and water. Rhodium in form of powder. This reaction takes place at a temperature near 150°C and an overpressure.
