2Sc2(SO4)3 + 2H2O → 4Sc(OH)SO4 + 2SO2 + O2


Scandium(III) sulfate react with water to produce scandium(III) sulphate-hydroxide, sulfur dioxide and oxygen. This reaction takes place at a temperature of 520-550°C.
