Selenium(IV) oxide react with hydrogen chloride to produce selenium(IV) oxide-dichloride and water. Hydrogen chloride - gas. The reaction takes place in a concentrated solution sulfuric acid. Impurities: chloride selenium(II) SeCl2, chlorine Cl2.
