SiF4 + 2NH3 → SiF4•2NH3

Silicon(IV) fluoride react with ammonia to produce adduct silicon tetrafluoride and ammonia. Adduct setting-out. The reaction is conducted in a liquid ammonia, at a temperature near -40°C.
