Tin(IV) chloride react with water

SnCl4 + 2H2O → SnO2 + 4HCl

Tin(IV) chloride react with water to produce oxide tin(IV) and hydrogen chloride. Impurities: hydrogen hexachloridostannate(IV) H2[SnCl6].
