Tin(IV) oxide react with sodium carbonate and sulfur

SnO2 + 2Na2CO3 + 4S → Na2[SnS3] + Na2SO4 + 2CO2


Tin(IV) oxide react with sodium carbonate and sulfur to produce sodium trithiostannate(IV), sodium sulfate and carbon dioxide. This reaction takes place at a temperature of 400-500°C.
