3TiI4 + 5H2SO4 → 3TiOSO4 + 6I2 + 2S + 5H2O


Titanium(IV) iodide react with sulfuric acid to produce titanyl sulfate, iodine, sulfur and water. Sulfuric acid - concentrated solution. Impurities: hydrogen sulfide H2S, oxide sulfur(IV) SO2.
