Vanadium(III) chloride react with hydrogen

2VCl3 + H2 → 2VCl2 + 2HCl

Vanadium(III) chloride react with hydrogen to produce vanadium(II) chloride and hydrogen chloride. This reaction takes place at a temperature near 400°C.
