Cr2O3 + 2Na2CO3 + 3NaNO3 → 2Na2CrO4 + 3NaNO2 + 2CO2


Chromium(III) oxide react with sodium carbonate and sodium nitrate to produce sodium chromate, sodium nitrite and carbon dioxide. This reaction takes place at a temperature of 400-600°C.
