ClO2F → ClF + O2


The thermal decomposition of chlorine fluoride-dioxide to produce chlorine(I) fluoride and oxygen. This reaction is proceeds at a temperature of over 300°C in the quartz apparatus and over 200°C in the vessels of the Monel.
