WCl6 + 3Fe(CO)5 → W(CO)6 + 3FeCl2 + 9CO


Tungsten(VI) chloride react with pentacarbonyliron to produce hexacarbonyltungsten, iron(II) chloride and carbon monoxide. This reaction takes place at a temperature of 100°C.
