Iron(III) oxide react with sodium hydroxide

Fe2O3 + 2NaOH → 2NaFeO2 + H2O

Iron(III) oxide react with sodium hydroxide to produce sodium ferrite and water. This reaction takes place at the fusion the reaction mixture at a temperature near 600°C and an overpressure.
