Chlorine(III) fluoride react with fluorine

ClF3 + F2 → ClF5


Chlorine(III) fluoride react with fluorine to produce chlorine(V) fluoride. The reaction proceeds initiated by the absorption of energy in the form of light, at room temperature and at 1 atm.[17]

This reaction takes place at a temperature near 350°C and an overpressure.[8]
