2CoCl2 + 11CO + 12NaOH → 2Na[Co(CO)4] + 3Na2CO3 + 4NaCl + 6H2O


Cobalt(II) chloride react with nitric oxide and sodium hydroxide to produce sodium tetracarbonylcobaltate(III), sodium carbonate, sodium chloride and water. The reaction proceeds at room temperature. Sodium hydroxide concentrated.
