Silicon(IV) chloride react with ammonia

SiCl4 + 8NH3 → Si(NH2)4 + 4NH4Cl


Silicon(IV) chloride react with ammonia to produce silicon tetraamide and ammonium chloride. The reaction is conducted in a liquid ammonia, at a temperature near -50°C.
