NbCl5 + 5HF → NbF5 + 5HCl


Niobium(V) chloride react with hydrogen fluoride to produce niobium(V) fluoride and hydrogen chloride. The reaction is conducted in a liquid hydrogen fluoride, in a boiling solution.
