As2S3 + 8NaOH + 2S → 2Na3[AsS2O2] + Na2S + 4H2O


Arsenic(III) sulfide react with sodium hydroxide and sulfur to produce sodium dioxoditioarsenate(V), sodium sulfide and water. This reaction takes place at a temperature of 30-50°C.
