Au2O3 + 6HClO4 → 2AuClO + 2Cl2 + 11O2 + 3H2O


Gold(III) oxide react with perchloric acid to produce gold(III) chloride-oxide, chlorine, oxygen and water. This reaction takes place at a temperature of 150-165°C.
