Bi + 3HCl + HNO3 → BiCl3 + NO + 2H2O


Bismuth react with hydrogen chloride to produce bismuth(III) chloride, nitric oxide and water. Hydrogen chloride and nitric acid - concentrated solutions. The reaction takes place in a boiling solution.
