2Bi2O3 + 6Na2O2 → 4Na3BiO4 + O2


Bismuth(III) oxide react with sodium peroxide to produce sodium orthobismuthate and oxygen. This reaction takes place at a temperature of 350-600°C. Impurities: Na5BiO5.
