The thermal decomposition of dihydrate dichloridotetraaquachromium(III) chloride to produce dichloridotetraaquachromium(III) chloride and water. The reaction proceeds at room temperature, in vacuo, over concentrated sulfuric acid. This reaction takes place slowly.
