Chromium(III) chloride react with sodium cyclopentadienyl

2CrCl3 + 6NaC5H5 → 2[Cr(C5H5)2] + 6NaCl + C10H10


Chromium(III) chloride react with sodium cyclopentadienyl to produce cyclopentadienyl chromium(II), sodium chloride. The reaction takes place in a boiling solution in the dioxane.
