CuCl2 + 4(NH3•H2O) → [Cu(NH3)4]Cl2 + 4H2O


Copper chloride react with ammonium hydroxide to produce tetraamminecopper(II) chloride and water. Ammonium hydroxide - concentrated solution. The reaction proceeds at room temperature.
