CuCl2 + 5(NH3•H2O) → [Cu(H2O)(NH3)5]Cl2 + 4H2O


Copper chloride react with ammonium hydroxide to produce pentaammineaquacopper(II) chloride and water. Ammonium hydroxide - concentrated solution. This reaction takes place at a temperature near 0°C.
