2FeCuS2 + 5O2 + 2SiO2 → 2Cu + 2FeSiO3 + 4SO2


Iron(III)-copper(I) sulfide react with oxygen and silicon dioxide to produce copper, iron(II) silicate and sulfur dioxide. This reaction takes place at a temperature near 1000°C.
