SiO2 + 6HF → H2[SiF6] + 2H2O


Silicon dioxide react with hydrogen fluoride to produce hydrogen hexafluorosilicate(IV) and water. Hydrogen fluoride - concentrated solution. This reaction takes place at a temperature of <35°C.
