Iron(III) chloride react with potassium chloride

FeCl3 + KCl → K[FeCl4]


Iron(III) chloride react with potassium chloride to produce potassium tetrachloridoferrate(III). This reaction takes place at a temperature near 350°C in a chlorine atmosphere. Impurities: - pentachloridoferrate(III) potassium K2[FeCl5].
