FeCl3 + FeCl3•6H2O → 6FeOCl + 12HCl


Iron(III) chloride react with iron(III) hexahydrate chloride to produce oxide-iron(III) chloride and hydrogen chloride. This reaction takes place at a temperature of 250-300°C.
