Thallium(I) chloride react with chlorine

TlCl + Cl2 → TlCl3


Thallium(I) chloride react with chlorine to produce thallium(III) chloride. Thallium(I) chloride in the suspension form. The reaction proceeds at room temperature.

Solid thallium(I) chloride reactwith chlorine at a temperature near 30°C and an overpressure.
