Germanium react with sulfur dioxide

3Ge + 2SO2 → 2GeO2 + GeS2

Germanium react with sulfur dioxide to produce germanium(IV) oxide and germanium(IV) sulfide. This reaction takes place at a temperature of over 500°C.
