GeS + 2HI → GeI2 + H2S


Germanium(II) sulfide react with hydrogen iodide to produce germanium(II) iodide and hydrogen sulfide. Hydrogen iodide - concentrated solution. The reaction is conducted in a liquid trichloromethane.
