HgSO4 + Hg + 2NaCl → Hg2Cl2 + Na2SO4


Mercury(II) sulfate react with mercury and sodium chloride to produce mercury(I) chloride and sodium sulfate. This reaction takes place at a temperature of 250-300°C.
