2HgBr2 + 4(NH3•H2O) → Hg2NBr•H2O + 3NH4Br + 3H2O


Mercury(II) bromide react with ammonium hydroxide to produce hydrate mercury(II) bromide-nitride, ammonium bromide and water. The reaction proceeds at room temperature.
