Hg2Br2 + 4H2SO4 → 2HgSO4 + 2Br2 + SO2 + 4H2O


Mercury(I) bromide react with sulfuric acid to produce mercury(II) sulfate, bromine, sulfur dioxide and water. Sulfuric acid - concentrated heated solution.
