Iridium react with barium peroxide

Ir + 2BaO2 → IrO2 + 2BaO


Iridium react with barium peroxide to produce iridium(IV) oxide and oxide barium. This reaction takes place by heating to the temperature of no more than 800°C. Impurities: - iridium(IV)-barium oxide Ba4IrO6.
