KSCN + KNO2 + H2SO4 → NOSCN + K2SO4 + H2O


Potassium thiocyanate react with potassium nitrite and sulfuric acid to produce nitrogen(III) thiocyanate-oxide, potassium sulfate and water. Potassium thiocyanate - concentrated solution. Sulfuric acid - diluted solution. This reaction takes place at a temperature near 0°C.
