Sodium hydride react with ammonia

NaH + NH3 → NaNH2 + H2

Sodium hydride react with ammonia to produce sodium amide and hydrogen. The reaction is conducted in a liquid ammonia, at a temperature near -40°C. In this reaction, the catalyst is can be iron.
