Sodium aluminate react with water

NaAlO2 + 2H2O → NaOH + Al(OH)3

Sodium aluminate react with water to produce sodium hydroxide and aluminium hydroxide. Water is hot. This reaction takes place slowly.

As a result, reaction is produced is amorphous hydroxide aluminum.
