PCl3 + S → PSCl3


Phosphorus(III) chloride react with sulfur to produce phosphorus(V) trichloride-sulfide. This reaction takes place at a temperature near 160°C and an overpressure.[8] In this reaction, the catalyst is can be aluminum chloride.[8,16]
