PCl5 + H2C2O4 → POCl3 + 2HCl + CO + CO2


Phosphorus(V) chloride react with oxalic acid to produce phosphoryl chloride, hydrogen chloride, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide. This reaction takes place at a temperature of 80-90°C.
