2PbS + 3Cl2 → 2PbCl2 + S2Cl2


Lead(II) sulfide react with chlorine to produce lead(II) chloride and disulfur dichloride. This reaction takes place at a temperature of 100-150°C. Impurities: chloride sulfur(II) SCl2.
